Mississippi River / Goose Island in Wisconsin

Goose Island is a county park just south of La Crosse, Wi.

They have a canoe/kayak trail that goes around the island. It took us about four hours. Half of the paddle is in back water and half in the Mississippi.

Very beautiful way to spend a few hours. Take a nice lunch and enjoy the day.

The park rents canoes, but we brought our own kayaks. Also the Kickapoo River is not far.
