Trip Overview
Mammoth Furnace Bay is a huge bay on Lake Barkley with three creeks for exploring. Easiest access to the bay is by Forest Service Road 122 past Bethlehem Cemetery. You can enter Mammoth Furnace Creek and float in to the bay. This road was closed for Turkey hunting on March 27, so we took Forest Service Road 118A to Kuhn Cemetery and parked there. Then we dragged kayaks 100 ft or so to Kuhn Creek which is around the bend from Mammoth Furnace Bay. Great time!Gear Notes
