Maiden Voyage for Saranac 146

A self-supported trip created by RebelNation23

Trip Overview

Took a day trip to Canyon Lake, AZ in hopes to finally get my new Saranac 146 into the water on a little solo trip! Timing was perfect as I got there about 9am and it was not that busy on a Monday morning. It was a beautiful day and one of the last timid days we are going to have in Arizona for the summer. It was slightly breezy and as a beginning canoeist, I was having difficulty paddling in a straight line. I am using a double blade paddle for this canoe. Trip went well! I didn't get any bites when bass fishing but I also didn't drink any lake water! More entries to come as I have many more adventures planned!

Gear Notes

Fishing gear (two tackle boxes, one pole)

YETI 45 half filled with assorted drinks and ice

Conditions

Sunny, breezy, mild temperatures around 87.
