Trip Overview

I put my 17' Prijon Kodiak in at Kings Beach State Recreation Area Lake Tahoe. Nice parking with $10 day use fee, however parking was right on the water so it was nice.

Kings Beach is a really popular site for kayak rentals and kayak outfitters so I had to check out the local shops. I have to say the the local shops and people are World Class, even though I had my own gear they were all about telling where to put in and what the area has to offer.

From Kings Beach we paddled along the shore towards Crystal Bay exploring the boulder fields and hot springs off Brockway Point. Good day paddling followed up by a fireworks show on the beach...

Accommodations:

Countless restaurants and hotels.
Must check out "Tahoe Paddle and Oar" located at Kings Beach.

Fees:

Day use is $10 at Kings Beach State Recreation site.

Directions:

Follow HWY 267 off HWY 80 into North Lake Tahoe (aka Kings Beach).

Resources:
