Trip Overview

Trip from launch point just south of the highway across the street from Jordan County Park. Launch at the bridge is an easy entry. Gentle trip with beautiful scenery. There were a few areas where trees were down that were a challenge. One tree just north of Iverson Park is not passable. There is a portage point on the right side of the river.

Safety Notes

There are many trees down in the water. Most have been cut through by DNR but there are a few that can only be passed by staying at the shore or by lifting your kayak over them.

Conditions

Water was relatively high. Steady current but not too challenging. We got hung up on a couple of trees. The one with the portage north of Iverson looked like it could be passed but couldn't and we wound up in the water. We got back up and kept going.

Portage Notes

There is a tree down about 1 km north of Iverson park that can't be passed. There is a portage on the right side of the river.
