Paddled upstream on the Gunnison River from the Bridgeport Road landing near Grand Junction Colorado. Really strong current, took a number of attempts to paddle past a narrow point in the river where the current was even more powerful. Then we got to a rapids we couldn't get through. A rafting party arrived when we were loading the kayak onto the car. Their guide was new and most of their drinking water had leaked from their container few days earlier so they were in rough shape.
