Launched at Gardiner Ramp and paddled north in Discovery Bay past Diamond Point into the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Paddled across to Protection Island and back. Saw a Golden Eagle hunting along the grassy slopes of the island. There’s always a herd of harbor seals along the shore of the island. They swam out to check us out for a bit.
