Short paddle 3.5 miles to just explore. Water level was 2.1 on the USGS outflow gauge and it was perfect. Swift current and a few downed trees but it’s wide so no issues. All private property so takeouts are a challenge. Falcon Park in Marion Twp is privately owned and Tom the owner as of 2022 charges $5 per kayak. He has a nice launch and takeout and is nice once you talk to him.
Safety Notes
Strainers are an obvious concern and it’s swift so wear your jacket.
