Trip Overview

Great kayaking on Great Bay and Green Pond. Great Bay has a cement ramp with some sandy shore on either side at the end of Harrington street. Parking for approximately 10 cars. We were there twice during our stay and there were available spots each time. There is direct access to the ocean so you can stay in protected waters or head out to the ocean. Tides were less of an issue than some local south Jersey creeks. Great Bay has several small marinas with boats to about 30' No issue with traffic. The second time there, we got there around 7:00 AM and found a slack tide and it was like glass. Such a wonderful morning. Putting in at Green Pond is at a very busy Marina so you are competing with a lot of boats to put in. There is VERY limited parking for vehicles without trailers.
