Description
Enjoy a peaceful paddle starting from this well-known canoe put-in, but with far less traffic than the boat launch down the road. This section of Forest Lake is quiet and serene, with ample wildlife viewing opportunities and calm, protected waters. This small, sandy launch is located at the turnaround at the end of Tom Thompson Lane, beside a municipal pumphouse and smaller green building. Follow the trail to the water. There is a senior woman living several houses down who may approach to tell you that you are on private property and that you are trespassing. Rest assured that this is public land and the launch itself is actually part of the road allowance. This has been confirmed with both the home owner beside the launch and the municipality, and you are welcome to launch and paddle in the area. Enjoy!Location & Directions
