Description
This is a lovely spot to get on and off the canal. The carpark is suitable for 8/10 cars, there is one disabled spot and a height restricting barrier, there are also a couple of litter bins. You need to get there early to use the carpark but you can also park on the road if needs be. Adjacent to the carpark is a large patch of grass to pump your boards up. There is a path, across this grass leading to a gap in the hedges which brings you out directly on to the tow path, where you can then get in. If you turn right and head a few metres towards the bridge, there is a point that is a little lower for you to get into the canal a little easier if need be. There are no other facilities there and a waterways licence is required. Just as a note, the photos aren’t in the order I intended, showing the grass area, the gap in the hedge and then the point you come out on the towpath. Pumped up boards on a small section of grass behind parked cars as a pose to the ‘field’. Then there’s a photo showing the bridge where the low section of towpath is, a bit of litter I collected and then a lovely view on the return journey, just because.Location & Directions
