Big Alabama Bayou

Description

Public wildlife management area. No fee to launch, but you must use the self check-in station and you must have a fishing license, hunting license, or a Wild Louisiana Stamp (required for all activities in the WMA: buy online from LDWF). Nice, wide bayou, calm water, lots of wildlife. Adjacent pier/dock, campground, bathrooms, and gun ranges (shotgun, rifle, and pistol). Just a few miles to the nearest town (Krotz Springs) and some of the best boudin in Louisiana.
