Petit Bot Bay

English Channel

Description

A small bay on the south coast of Guernsey with some superb paddling nearby. Parking is free but it can be busy at times. There is a cafe plus toilets. Access to the beach is via a slipway. Towards high water the launch is from a pebble beach but at low tide it is from sand.

Heading both east and west you quickly reach interesting kayaking with caves, gullies and stacks waiting to be explored. A perfect location for a paddle of a couple of hours duration.

Longer journeys are also possible from here with some planning. Heading east to St Peter Port or west along the south coast an onto the west coast of Guernsey. Either is a satisfying day trip but requires tidal planning and a car shuttle.

The best bay on the south coast of Guernsey but can be busy with commercial groups at times.
