Pepperell Pond North

Nashua River

Description

An impoundment behind the Nashua River Dam in downtown Pepperell. If you paddle down to MA 111 and back its about 8.25 miles round trip. There is a lot of weed in places and fishermen come up from the ramp in Groton off MA 111. You'll likely see Mute Swans as there is a feral population on the pond. Most of the banks are in conservation land so its a decent paddle even if there is a lot of weed in the water. Above the MA 111 bridge you get some current but its easy to add on some upstream miles if you are interested.
