You can park on a side road on mill lane the other side of the main road, then it's a 50 metre portage to the steps leading into the river. Alternatively Farnley Lane, just outside the enterance to the park. Set up in the park and wander through to the steps. These steps are also used by the pedalo rental people, so be respectful and don't get in their way, but there's plenty of room for everyone. NB. Due to nearby weir, you are better heading upstream from here.
