mill lane Buon Apps

Wharfe

Description

Like others have said park down mill lane, I arrived at 8am on a Sunday so used the Buon Apps car park to inflate. I then struggled to find an easy entry point. I ended up using a concrete drop off (as the water was shallow to stand in) to get my board in. As I paddle out there was a rope barrier (obviously stopping pédalo users going towards the weir). I managed to kneel and get under the rope and then paddles upstream for around a mile. It was bliss, I saw no one except a couple of wild swimmers. There is a natural turning point as you can see a rocky, shallower, faster moving water ahead. The total paddle there and back was around 3.4km. Loved it and will go back.
