Leadbeater Dam

Dam

Description

A small dam, does not get very deep so your feet reach the bottom probably throughout and is somewhat rocky bottom so need water shoes ideally to get on. But saying all that it's a good spot for a practise, you can also have a swim. Parking by roadside, space for maybe 5-7 cars in total. Do not park where signs indicate private land however. It is a little walk to the dam, maybe 300 yards, but it is doable. I think on a hot day you will likely struggle for parking spot so may end up walking a lot further. You do not really have the space to use electric pump as the road is narrow, best carry the board on your back there and pump manually.
