Description
The Knightstown Parks and Recreational Canoe and Kayak Launch is on 4th Street and S Washington Street.
The launch is accessed by entering what looks like the drive into Brookview Apartments which is actually 4th Street. At the end of the short street is the gate to the launch area. Please park vehicles on the lot a few yards north of 4th Street near the old brick building which used to be part of the railway.
A handicapped accessible path is planned. There are steps to the river at the deck and a gradual sandy beach to the south for easy canoe/kayak river access. The launch is open sun up to sun down and will provide a welcome recreational area for canoe/kayak enthusiasts and river watchers.
