Description
Gouldsboro State Park (GPS Lat: 41.22934 Long: -75.46340) is a 2,800 acre park with a 250 acre lake. It is a dawn to dusk park (no camping). There is a boat ramp. There are no power boats other than electric motors at slow, no wake speed. Rowboats, kayaks, canoes and peddle boats are allowed year round and available to rent at the lake from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day (except in bad weather). There are hiking and biking trails, picnic areas with tables and grills, and a beach area for swimming (at your own risk - no lifeguard on duty). In the winter there is ice fishing and ice skating on the frozen lake. Pets are allowed and must be leashed at all times. There are no concession stands so bring your snacks and beverages with you. There are dumpsters for you to dispose of your waste. Non-flush restrooms are available. The road is paved and there are spaces near the boat ramp for parking vehicles and boat trailers. The other areas have paved vehicle parking as well. The lake itself is fairly shallow and there is a lot of aquatic vegetation near the shoreline. It doesn't get overly crowded and there is sufficient room for everyone to have an enjoyable day out.
