Cart Walk Across America

Willamette River

Description

It is .35 miles of walking from parking in the state park "lot" (3-4 spaces) to a slope where you can get your craft down into a calm side channel next to the Willamette. The first 0.1 miles is straightforward: wide, paved path. Then you turn right onto narrower footpath. The foot path dips through a small, seasonal pond, so you might need to go clockwise around the little pond to rejoin the foot path. Eventually, you see a big river from a cliff view. The foot is off to the right, through brush, and to a slope—the slope seen in the numbered photos. The state park is Willamette River Greenway and Water Trail.
