Description
The north end of 57th Street Beach is a designated launch for the Lake Michigan Water Trail.
It is well-protected from north waves, but open to the southeast.
Parking
is available west of DuSable Lake Shore Drive; street parking along
56th Street, South Shore Drive, 55th Drive, and 55th Street is free and
there's a paid lot on the east side of South Shore Drive between 55th
and 56th. You'll probably want a hand cart to wheel your boat through
the pedestrian tunnel at 56th/57th or 55th.
