Ah, the Trillium. Not for first time paddlers, it’s a tad tender. But for a more experienced paddler it’s a dream. Very responsive to the paddle. Able to easily handle moving water through class 2.
The Northstar web site is pretty conservative in its specs. I weigh 210 dresses, with a weeks camp, food, etc the gross weight in the Trillium is over 270 lbs. with this weight on board it draws just 2.75” inches of water. The differential rocker makes eddy turns a snap and it responds quickly to River currents.
