The Tripper was the first canoe we ever purchased. Thank god for its stability. Back in 1995 I took my son canoeing on a reservoir in upstate NY. In my inexperience, in the rain, we asked some boaters for a tow (don't EVER do this folks)..... My son, the dog and I were practically standing on the right gunwale to keep the left one out of the water as we motored along at 10 knots. I learned a lot that trip, but not least that we could count on this canoe to stay upright in the absolute worst conditions. Since then, it's been our go-to canoe for families and heavy water. We have other canoes and kayaks, but we trust the Tripper above all.
