Stable as a table and about as fast;) I bought 4 for my kids and I gotta say I love them for a learner kayak. more sturdy than a sundolphin and better built than a pelican my kids have used them almost every day and ive cotton a couple friends out that said they would never paddle...I wont be trading in my old town for one but for the price you really cant go wrong
