Still going strong after all these years...
I know this is an ancient string, and that the WS Cape Lookout was discontinued in 2002. But I just purchased (July 2017) a used 155 in A- condition for $350. A comparable kayak today would cost $1000++. It's a terrific ride, tracks well, is super comfortable, is stable and nimble, with two accessible bulkheads. I guess what I have to add is testimony that this 15 year old kayak was extremely well made; there are many on the water still performing at a high level. I'm in love with mine, and I highly recommend it to any bargain seekers like me. Also, you can find WS archives of discontinued kayaks here: https://www.wildernesssystems.com/us/customer-service/archived-catalogs.
Still a great kayak after all these years
Yes, I know this is a very old string. And that the WS Cape Lookout 155 hasn't been produced since 2002. But I just picked one up on CL for $350 in A- condition. There are many still out there on the water providing outstanding service. As other's have written here, the 155 is a terrific kayak, tracks very well, reasonably comfortable seating, two watertight bulkheads with decent access and storage. Rudder still works flawlessly. I guess the main thing I have to add at this point is the observation that this 15 year old kayak performs just as well as it did when it was new, and presumably as well as comparable kayaks on today's retail market costing more than 3 times as much. I'm in love with my new easy paddle. Also, archived WS specs can be found here, for those value seekers like me: https://www.wildernesssystems.com/us/customer-service/archived-catalogs
