The Liquid Logic Remix XP9 is a great hybrid for whitewater and the relative flat water between. Easy to paddle and paddles straight with skeg down. Strong yet not heavy to carry. Good storage area.

I'm a data nut and gather much data before making a large purchase, such as a kayak. I gathered data about 40 kayaks from various sources and put the information on a spreadsheet. I then went to the Paddlesport 2015 show in March 2015 and reviewed (sat in, asked questions about, etc.) many of the kayaks on my list. I then water tested my Sojourn 135 and bought the kayak.

It is most excellent! Comfortable seat and cockpit. Excellent chine and arch. Excellent thigh braces and foot braces. Easy to maneuver. Two spacious, water tight hatches for storage. At 45 lbs, easy to transport.
