Just got back from a week long trip in Quetico and was extremely pleased with my new Hemlock Peregrine's performance. This was my first solo canoe trip to Quetico and the first time I've brought a dog up. My dog a 65 pound Labrador that is new to canoeing was a little restless the first two days making things a little interesting but once she settled in the Peregrine preformed beautifully. This canoe cuts though the waves, took in no water, handled the wind, and was light to carry on the portages. Dave Curtis is a great guy to deal with and makes a excellent canoe. It was a great experience dealing with Dave, he made sure my canoe was built in time for this years trip and went out of his way to make delivery arrangements. I can't say enough how happy I am with purchasing this canoe.
