I love that this inexpensive kayak is so stable. I can take friends who have never kayaked and they are able to do some easy rivers with us right away. People claim that they are slow and don't track well. We do mostly rivers so it doesn't matter. They are really comfortable and have many nice features: 2 drink holders, a back hatch for items, a drain plug so we can wash them properly and adjustable feet pegs

I live in Minnesota. We bought our Viper 10.4 kayaks at Menard's. We originally bought them because of the price. But we found out early on the great kayak they are. The flat bottom is great for stability, the front tray and drink holders are awesome, the drain plug is great for rinsing them our, the seats are good, they have two bungees for holding gear and we got the paddles with the kayak!! They work fantastic for the many rivers we love to run around here.

I did read reviews from others before we purchased our Viper kayaks @ Menards. They are awesome. We really could not go wrong for $199. Some may think that the back hatch not being a dry one is a negative. Not so because there is a drain plug in the back. It is so nice for cleaning and to empty it. That's what dry bags are for. We designed our own paddle ties and put an eye bolt on them for security. I love that there is 2 water bottle holders. Can't say enough....LOVE them!
