Absolutely LOVE this PFD! This is my second season using the Onyx A/M life jacket. It truly is hard to even notice that you have it on, so you do actually wear it. That alone makes it worth the $20-$25 that I pay per re-arming kit. When on the lake in shallow water I usually use the manual set up, where I have the option to inflate if needed in that type of a non life threatening tip of the kayak. Yet the safety is there for me. I do recommend having a spare re-arming kit available at all times. It is also very convenient to be able to remove the co2 cylinder and manually inflate to test your PFD before each adventure. I highly recommend this PFD, especially for kayaking!
