It is heavy, but it is the most rugged boat cart we've ever used. Great for trips over rough terrain, the steel frame and large-diameter, smooth-rolling tires travel over the rocks and roots found on portage trails. Every time we take one of our 10 canoes out for a day's paddle or a weeks paddle we use the cart to transport the canoe, filled with gear, from the car to the water. We launch the loaded canoe right from the cart. It saves so much carrying and many individual trips to the car. It gets used every time we paddle now. No more carrying the canoe to the launching. Wishing we had one for the past 20 years.
