I Grew up surfing the…

I Grew up surfing the California coast. Due to a hip injury, the past 10 years or so I've had a hard time popping up and getting my feet in the right spot on a traditional surfboard, Plus sitting in the lineup cause a lot of pain in the hip. So decided to try SUP surfing and immediately fell in love with it. One problem I had starting out was that I am 6 foot 5 300 pounds. I did a lot of research trying to find the right board for my size and ability there was not a lot of options. after a couple boards and trial and error the maestro seems to be the perfect fit. Pros The maestro with its 215/ 218 volume allows me to be in the lineup and not get thrown off from every little bump and wind chop do to my top heaviness. Also it seems to be strong enough that I have not created pressure dings in the deck where my feet are positioned while paddling. like I have done to other boards. It's got a nice rocker so it does not Perl like other big all around boards. I guess the bottom line is that it's a big man's board that Surf very nicely top to bottom and it seems to be the perfect fit for me. thank you Cons Because of the rocker it doesn't glide as nicely as an all-round board but I'm using the Surf anyways Usage Surfing
