ECO Canoe

Submitted by: jkmmartin2 on 6/27/2017

I have had this for over 40 years from Yellowstone to Vermont. Have fallen in love with the Loon in Minnesota Boundry waters to the pond Loon in Vermont. I am older now and feel more stable in my Casco Kayak. I am wondering what a fair price would be for this old friend?

The Wenonah Echo at 16' 6",…

Submitted by: djteske on 7/11/2016
The Wenonah Echo at 16' 6", was the precursor to the longer Sundowner. Light, roomy and stable, a very good tripping canoe. It was lengthened to accommodate larger people with more gear. Works great if the paddlers are under 200". I was lucky enough to own one of these canoes. Mine was kevlar, and 34" at the gunwales. A great canoe. My friend and I took it to the Boundary Waters three times for a week each time, and it worked great. (We are both under 180 pounds). We took a weeks worth of gear and it handled great, both into the wind and in cross winds. It tracked straight, holds a ton of gear, easy for one person to carry, and stable. A plus is that it wasn't as bouncy without a load as my friend's kevlar Spirit. A great canoe for tripping and fishing. Sadly, I sold it a few years ago. Now that I have room for a canoe, I would love to find another one (hint).
