I am a beginner to sup'ping, and rented this board for an 8 mile stretch of a local river. The board was fast, stable and fun to ride. However, I found that it was challenging to keep it on track, granted I'm a newer paddler which could be the reason. There was a problem with the pump not pumping up the board and a new pump had to be brought to inflate it successfully. It appeared that a prior renter had stripped the connection on both the pump and the valve which made it impossible to inflate without two people.

As a hobby board, I think the Sunset EVA Stand on Liquid is great. I use it on lake water and it's easy to balance on and maneuvers well for a nice time on flat water. It's fairly lightweight but takes on a little bit of water after using it...so can be heavier after being out for a paddle. Overall a great beginner to novice board for everyday use. Pros It's an easy board to get started on and it is durable so I'm not worried about scratches or dings too much. Cons It takes on a little water so it's a bit heavier after pulling it out. Usage exercise and just to get some sun

I am new to supping and was looking for a board that will fit me. I bought the SOL Sunset 11'6" because of it's stability and durability. As a beginner, I was impressed with the performance and comfort of the board. The single fin glides smoothly and maneuvering was easy. This is definitely a great board for first timers. Pros Comfort, stability durability, performance and size. Cons A little heavy but manageable. Usage I use for it exercise, exploring and relaxing.
