This is an economical, basic J-hook type of wall-mount kayak holder. I use three of these: two for 14-foot kayaks and one for a 10-footer. The J part has decent padding. Do not cost a lot and are simple to install. The main improvement I would suggest for them (and you) is to use better screws. It’s not that they aren’t strong enough to hold the weight – it is that when I am using my drill and Philips bit to drive them into a stud, it usually goes in hard enough (even w/ a decent-sized pilot hole) that the drill bit starts to round off the Philips pattern in the screw head well before I get it screwed all the way in. So I grab another similar, but more solid screw I have on hand at home.
