This kayak has been awesome! I'm still kinda new to the kayak world. I have really enjoyed going down the river. It's kinda scratch up from the rocks under the water but it's held up great! It would be awesome to have one for my wife to go with me to make it a family thing.

Received this kayak as part of a partnership to promote paddlecraft with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. The kayak is comfortable, though the backrest requires some work to adjust well. I would prefer eye's for installing thigh straps, but can add those as needed. It glides well, is stable and responds well to strokes and lean.

I have tried my friend's Pelican Strike 120x Angler and it is both a decent recreational kayak in flat water, easy to get on/off and quite stable and comfortable with its easily adjustable foot pegs. It is fun for fishing as well.

Great starter fishing kayak…

Great starter fishing kayak at a value price. Weight is amazingly light for such a well built hull. Seems to track well and has been stable in rough Chesapeake Bay chop. Seat could be better but not bad for this price point. Included removable rod holder is proprietary and not the best and seems to be placed to far forward. Adjustable foot pegs are of good quality and easily adjusted on the water. As with many dry hatches, not the easiest to unscrew, but everything stays dry. Included paddle tie down is simple but is handy when needed.

This is a great kayak for someone who is just starting, like me and want to use it for fishing as well as just recreation. I'm 6' tall I sit comfortably and there still room to adjust the foot pegs further down.

I personally like the lines of this kayak and the color is not overly bright (shinny red) but it's not camo either.
