I can't GO outside with my 11'1" 30" wide One World without many comments, cool board, dude! Best board I ever had. As a beginner, I accidentally bought the board I would buy again (maybe a different model, but definitely from SUP Santa Barbara)! I chose mine with the Australian pinewood top and surf blue bottom. But since then they're constantly innovating every day, and they have some carbon fiber models now that you'd kill to get that thousand dollars more to have one of those. This shop is STOKED 7 days a week to get you on a board with try out days periodically throughout the year; they've got a rippin' spot there on the Pacific, although the shop is a couple blocks off. Look them up. They've got like 1,000 pictures on 100 pages online. You could look through their pictures for a day. They've been making boards longer than any other company listed here.
Pros
Beautiful board
Lightweight--an 11' board weighs 25 pounds
comes with a leash and a carbon fiber paddle that beautifully matches the sea-blue bottom of the board
the top is Australian Pine. You and a friendly worker install the pad, measured and accurately every time, when you pick up your board. You know it's right because you did it yourself. With their help--you measure twice, place and glue it once
They always throw in some swag, I got a t-shirt and sticker and I use them!
Cons
What I don't like about it. Huh. See above ^^^
You can kind of tell I love it.
I may have gone 32" wide or something (they had the One World Wide) and fell off less often as a beginner, but I don't care - I love swimming! and I'm attached to my board, i'm never in danger in the water
Usage
I use it just for recreation. I just rent now that I moved from heaven to hell (anyplace not California), but I sold it to my nephew there for 1/2 what I paid, and he's a hoarder; so it'll be in the family when I die.
