It has been a great canoe. Used for fishing. Only problem is the "seat brackets" both have broken, I am guessing from pinch points on the seat itself.
A good lake canoe with plenty of room for "stuff" and suited to smooth water anywhere. My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to better protect the hull from the rigors of shipping. It came wrapped in a generous amount of bubble wrap and heavy plastic wrap over that. Still it suffered a pretty healthy gouge in the bottom. Some double wall cardboard between the bubble and plastic would have give the hull more cushion against this sort of thing. I know shipping costs are part of the costs of the product, it just seems like another $10 or $20 in packaging could make a difference. Would I buy another? Sure, but I'd love to be able to find one locally where I can see what I'm buying.
We did a backwoods river trip, camping on the bank each of the nights out. During the day I would fish and have to say that the rod holders were a decent touch. As well as the insanely comfortable seating system. I own a pretty high end Kayak and the seat in that is comfortable, I never thought I'd see it in a canoe.
The majority of the water we were on was relatively slow moving, with some rapids. While I wouldn't recommend it, it's a bear to turn sharply and it's low lines means your gear is getting wet, it certainly handled the water fine.
All in all, if your looking for a canoe that can handle most water types, can fish out of comfortably, and want a canoe that is pretty durable, then this is what you are looking for.
