    Absolutely fantastic "rec"…

Absolutely fantastic "rec" boat, but I would probably call it "rec plus" as it still feels very responsive and fast on the water. You'll notice that it doesn't have the rock-solid primary stability of an Old Town Discovery but once you get past that initial "tippy" feeling point the boat is super stable. I LOVE being able to easily lean the boat into turns with two adult paddlers and just my input. The deep keel keeps the boat straight even with two casual paddlers, but at the same time doesn't seem to affect the boat's turning ability much, either. Just a fantastic "do all" boat with excellent build quality and a nice combination of features (aluminum gunwhales, ash wood interior) at a very reasonable 65lbs and under $2000 US.

    I feel I had good value for…

I feel I had good value for the dollar and the manufacturers description is accurate. Easily handled two people and some gear (450 lbs) even in a bit of chop. Found it surprisingly easy to steer with just one person in it and even easier with two. I have car topped it on and off myself quite a few times. This fiberglass canoe is quiet. I would rate the materials, quality and workmanship at very good to excellent.
