This is probably one of, if…
This is probably one of, if not, the best whitewater boats in ocean surf. This boat is a blast! I have a surf-specific boat that is much faster, but when the surf is less than perfect, the ZIP gets the nod. The added bonus is that you can buy a new ZIP for about half what newer designs are going for.

This boat is LOOOSE. Super loose. So easy to spin. Flatwater is easy. Only problem is carving requires you to lean pretty far into the turn. not as sharp at carving as the ForPlay. Otherwise great boat, good hull speed great release.

I tried this boat out for a day at a boating festival. I am about 6'1" and had been having trouble fitting in the other new playboats. The Zip was the most comftorable boat I have tried, with good leg room. I started doing my first squit turns immediately, the boat felt very good.
