I was in the market to get the Mini X but ended up picking up a Sierra 10 at a steal of a price. Although this is a sit inside kayak, it almost feels like SOT with the cockpit being so open and roomy. The Sierra feels pretty stable and tracks decent for a 10 footer. Because of the width it is possible to stand in it as seen on YouTube but I am yet to try it. The tankwell is spacious which will accommodate all of your gear.
For the price and features of this kayak, I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a quality and affordable recreational/fishing kayak. And this model comes with a seat unlike other Malibu kayaks.
