This is a cedar strip/epoxy kayak so suffice to say it's a fine looking craft. It's fairly wide, the specs say 24", but I believe it's actually a little wider than that. Initial stability is great. Tracking is also quite good, I've had it out in 15-20 knot winds and had no trouble keeping it on course without a rudder. The boat is lightweight but it isn't especially fast. Foot space in the lower foredeck version is a bit tight for anyone with size 10's or greater. All in all, if you're seeking a stable boat for a beginner/intermediate paddler and one that will turn heads, the Georgian Bay is a great choice.
