You will not mistake this paddle for a high-performance product, but nor is Pelican pretending that it is. This is a value paddle, meant for first-timers or as a spare or to pry a log loose once you get to the campsite. It is heavy, robust and likely to last a long time with minimal attention. It gets a third star simply for good value.
