Prior to purchasing the Attwood Kayak Cart I did like so many others and built a cart from PVC. The PVC did not hold up very well on the rough terrain that I traversed to get to the water. The Attwood cart is very sturdy and has the added benefit of quick release wheels and folding up. No more leaving the home made cart on the shore and hoping it is there when I get back. The cart is offered with pneumatic or sold plastic tires. The pneumatic tires cost less and seemed a better choice fpr rough terrain. The straps that come with the cart could be better but that wasn't a problem as i used with the PVC cart.
