Love this sup board! Not too…

Submitted by: paddler468601 on 9/18/2018

Love this sup board! Not too heavy for me to carry on my own (I’m 5’4 & about 130) and is great in the water. Stable yet gives me a bit of a leg workout when out in the water!! My first one and I don’t even think I want to upgrade or change! Great for first time users as well- had a few people hop on and try it out and they are hooked!! Reasonably priced too for a sup board! 😎

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 7/9/2016
Bought this board in March for the Summer and I love it. My daughter had a board for a couple of years and I wanted to join her on the water it is great for me. Difficult to carry but my daughter helps and it isn't the end of the world. Been on a lot of lakes in Michigan and in my back yard on the river once and had no problem. Pros It is really stable for beginners which I am and I feel confident on the board. Cons I don't like that I can't really carry the board by myself. Usage I use it for pure joy.

The Lifetime Freestyle XL SUP…

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 6/25/2016
The Lifetime Freestyle XL SUP is the first and only board I have used so I can't compare to others. My husband and I wanted something we could do while camping so bought each other these for Christmas. They were easy and stable for first time SUPers. Had friends there who tried and went home to purchase their own. Daughter and her friend went out for over an hour their first time. Pros Easy to use. Stable. Love the retractable fin so didn't have to worry about shallow water or rocks Cons One of the two boards fills up with water more than the other. Easy to drain, but a problem just the same Usage We want the exercise and use on calm lakes only so far.

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 6/11/2016
Great as a beginner board, price is almost unbeatable but like a tattoo you get what you pay for and once you get on a better board it's almost night and day...from weight to quality of materials...if you're just testing the "waters" I say go for it but if you have any experience or know you're going to stick with it go for more quality Pros price point Cons heavy, cumbersome Usage exercise and touring

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 4/27/2016
This is a great board to try out SUPing--stable, easy to paddle, nearly indestructible. We've enjoyed using it on the lake and even a class 1-2 river. Not perfect for the river, but you don't have to worry about it getting beat up! Pros Stable, inexpensive Cons Heavy, not comfortable for yoga Usage Tooling around on the lake and river for fun.

Submitted by: erinecker on 4/13/2016
I have had this paddle board for a year now. It needs modifications. And additional long skeg is necessary since this is a wide and short SUP. It is hard to paddle and yaws quite a bit but it is extremely stable. It is fun to play around on our slow moving river, but can be a real pain if you are looking to go for miles. Great price for a play around on product. Pros Stable, good price, kids love it, can be easily modified just takes a little time and extra money Cons Hard to paddle, needs to be modified Usage Touring and playing

Submitted by: socalsup on 3/7/2016
I own 2 of these boards and they were the perfect first board for everyone in the family to learn on. Very stable and easy to use. It is a 9'6" board but still big enough to hold both my daughter and I at one time. We use ours both at the lake and the ocean harbors. The board is molded plastic so it can take a beating when in river or ocean rocky areas as well. The bungee set up is very convenient to hold all kinds of stuff. The neoprene deck is very comfortable if your paddling on your knees. Pros Price Durability Bungee cargo area Cons Heavier than a rigid or inflatable board and a little awkward to carry. No center fin (has 2 outside fins) which makes it a little harder to track if your looking for speed. Usage Exercise and touring

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 1/19/2016
This SUP is amazing. I bought it 2 years ago and it still works great. It is dented a little in the middle from too much weight on it, but it doesn't bother me. My board is red and bigger than most paddle boards. I love it so much! Pros I like that it is bigger than most paddle boards because it allows me to sit down, stand up, lay down, move around, and fish off of it. I have never fallen off unless I did it on purpose. I like the double fins. I also like how easy it is to ride and balance. Cons I wish it was a little bit lighter. It is really hard to carry on my own and I usually need help. I wish it was made of foam like most paddle boards but the plastic makes it more strong. Usage I use my board for exercise but mainly just for fun. I paddle around local lakes and rivers, often stopping to fish from my board. I also like to tan on my board.

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 11/13/2015
I first tried SUPping on a Lifestyle board and liked it enough and felt comfortable enough on it to make it my first board purchase. I thought the price was very reasonable for a first time board and a very new/novice SUPper. I have gone several times since my purchase and can hardly wait for warm weather here so I can enjoy the tranquility of SUPping on the lake! Pros As a very new/novice SUPper, the price was right and the stability gave me great confidence. Cons So far, I haven't really found anything that I don't like about it. Usage Used for exercise and peacefulness and solitude when on the lake with it.

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 9/1/2015
My friend introduced me to paddleboarding and I rented a Lifetime Freestyle XL board. I felt so comfortable on it and it seemed to navigate well. Since I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a board, not knowing how long I would stick with it, I bought the Freestyle. Pros Great starter board for the money! The paddle is adjustable so that others can use it too. Cons It takes on a bit of water, but that might be related to my weight. Also, a bit heavier than higher end boards. Usage I use it for exercise and for fun!

Submitted by: stan_pustylnik on 8/31/2015
I got Lifetime Freestyle XL by Lifetime SUP in addition to my kayak to do new type of exercise. As result I used it most of summer, leaving kayaks at home. Freestyle XL is stable to go through water rapids, short enough to fit inside Toyota Sienna minivan with back door closed. 2 fins are collapsible, which is priceless when you paddle through area with dense vegetation. Pros inexpensive, stable, fits inside minivan between seats, strong plastic, 2 collapsible fins Cons little heavy Usage touring, exercise, fishing, photography

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 8/12/2015
Not a bad beginner board. It's very wide which makes it easy for beginners to stand on - almost impossible to fall off it. Very heavy on and off the water. Very solid - I've had it blow off the roof of my SUV and just got a few scratches. Pros Wide and stable. Could use it on a river without worrying about banging it up. Comes with adjustable paddle. Cons Heavy on and off the water. Carrying handle is a indented into the board - almost unusable. The Huffy of Paddle boards. Usage beginner SUP on flat lakes, exercise, touring

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 7/31/2015
The price (bought at a sporting goods megastore) was hard to beat and I'm just getting into the sport so it seems like a perfect entry level board. It isn't tracking as well as I expected but perhaps that is just a matter of practice. I'm using it primarily in protected bays, and it's very stable in modest chop and on the flat water. Pros Retractable fins are convenient. Center groove doubles as paddle storage, appeals to the efficiency guru in me. Cons Water accumulates on top of the board and doesn't drain as quickly as I would have hoped. Usage Exercise

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 7/19/2015
This board is awesome. Retractable fins, paddle with storage, bungie cord on the nose, handle to carry, handle on the nose. Traction included. It's got everything you need. Probably not recommend for waves but probably would still work. Great on lakes. Holds me fine and I'm 250 lbs. paddle is great and adjustable. Very stable for how short it is. And it's tough, won't ding like a traditional board. Can't beat the price. It's on the slow side, but how fast did you really think you were gonna go. Buy it. I love it. Pros Paddle, retractable fins, handle and price. Very fun. Cons Not much. Not recommended for over 275 lbs. Usage Touring and exercise.

I bought this board as an entry for the sport. Price was a factor and it was reasonably priced. It is a good deal for an entry level paddle board and it is super stable. It is very heavy to carry however and really needs a well placed carry handle. Pros Well priced and very stable Cons Very heavy and hard to carry Usage Mostly on a lake and quite often

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 5/8/2015
I purchased this item online, so I was unable to see the product before purchase. When it arrived the skid-resistant surface was mangled and peeling off. The board WAS very light, but that was about all it had going for it. It reminded me of an oversized kids' bathtub toy, and as I recall had a plug in it that I was concerned might come out or leak. If this hadn't already been damaged in shipment I probably would have rejected it anyway. Pros price Cons quality/durability (in fairness I never used it, it didn't survive shipping) Usage

Submitted by: bufflehead on 3/8/2015
So far this has been a fun SUP on the flat lake behind my house. It's easy to balance on and goes fairly straight. Pros Easy to balance on, fins help with going straight Cons The paddle leaves a little to be desired, but it can be replaced. Usage Mostly exercise on the lake, thought about trying to fish off it, but currently I'm not quite stable enough.

Overall a nice flatwater board. I have used this in a few marinas here, but would not use it for waves. This is a great board for families that want to have something for their kids to use that they wont ding. Pros Inexpensive, easy to use Cons a little heavy for long walks to launch spots Usage good for touring with the family

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 12/29/2014
I bought this board as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She has been bugging me for months about one. This board is big, looks like it is stable and will be hard for her to damage. I didn't want to spend a arm and a leg on something she may not use that often so this was the perfect choice. She can learn on this one and then move up to something else. Now all she has to do is wait till spring. Pros Looks very stable, comfortable, great inexpensive first board and it's plastic so it will not damage easily. Cons Heavy for someone small. Usage Lakes and inlets.

We borrowed one of these for a family trip this summer. What a great board!!! It was easy enough for my kids to use (ages 7-16) and stable enough for my wife to enjoy. It handled the lake with ease. No issues with waves or weather. Looking forward to getting one of our own. Pros Very easy to manage in and out of the water. Cons Usage We used it for leisure and touring.

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 11/10/2014
I bought this board to try out stand up paddle boarding on lakes and the cheseapeake bay. It was priced very low on sale, and for the money I think it was a good investment. However it is definitely entry level and probably not suited for advanced paddlers. I will keep this paddleboard even when I upgrade for friends and family to use. I am giving this board 4 stars, not because it is the best board, but because it was such a good buy and seems to be super durable. Pros It is easy to balance as a first timer. It was inexpensive (relative to other paddleboards) It is a tank. It feels very durable and seems like you could throw it off a building and it would still be functional. Cons It is heavy and awkward to move alone. It takes on water on long trips (>1 hr). It seems slow compared to other paddleboards I have used since buying this one. Usage I use it for general fitness and fun exploring the bay, lakes, and other waters.

A good stable cheap(on sale) board but I am more than 30 pounds under the max weight and still stand in water while paddling. Still it is the most comfortable of the 3 boards I have tried so far. Pros Price. Comfort. Looks-the blue looks cool on the lake. Cons Needs more handles and a deeper center carry handle. Deck rigging is thin, too stretchy and there is not enough room to store much. Standing in water. Usage Lake

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 5/24/2014
I am a beginner paddle boarder and this board was easy to move from sitting to kneeling to standing. It was stable in all positions and comfortable to my knees which get tired easily. Also while standing I did not experience foot or leg fatigue because the surface has some flexibility. Seems a little slower than my friend's board. For me it tracks ok but my friend thinks her board (pelican flow) tracks better. Pros Easy and stable for a beginner to change positions. comfortable to knees and ankles. Easy for 2 people to put on top of car. Price Cons Water comes on top board when heavier people ride (180 lbs. +) Usage On lake

I read a fair number of reviews on this board and decided to buy it when it went on sale. So far, I am very pleased with the stability and portability of this board. I expected to go flying off it, but was surprised by the ease at which I was able to stay on it. It attracted some attention at the lake! Pros Easy to use, Seems durable, Inexpensive Cons Slow Usage Recreational, Lake touring

Submitted by: guest-paddler on 7/24/2013
I like it! I'm close to the max weight of 220, so it sits lower than when my girlfriend gets on it. But it tracks smooth, is easy to paddle and is very stable. I got on expecting to fall in and so far so good. Though I figure once I get confident I'll get stupid and fall in. Over all a good SUP for the money. I'm sure for more money you could get a better SUP, but you get a good SUP and a paddle for half the price of a board, so I feel it is a good entry to the sport. Pros Cons Usage
