I love kayaking, but since I have back problems, I always ended up with low back pain very early on, and had trouble getting out of the kayak. I was looking for a higher backed softer seat and found the YakPad. I have to say, this is probably the best investment I've ever made for paddling. It's so comfortable and greatly extends the time I can spend on the water. I got my husband one as well and he also loves it. He especially loves not having to haul me out of the kayak when we're done.
