I love this paddle it is super light and sturdy at the same time. I used it to push off of rocks and it never has failed me.

Carlisle is a decent company…

Carlisle is a decent company which has produced a horrible product with these specific "guide" paddles. The paddle's handle is stuffed into the shaft and the joint is not melded together. While rafting, if you jam the paddle into a rock and your knuckles slide forward...You will definitely experience pain along with possible injury. That can be easily avoided with a better paddle.
