Purchased this board a the local sporting goods store. Figured it would be a good entry level and inexpensive board for my 10 year old. Works perfectly for her (she has no complaints and doesn't really see the difference from other boards). I personally have tried other more expensive and higher quality boards and feel this California Board is a really good board for beginners. It is really light weight and durable (we bumped it against the dock and rocks a few times and saw no visible damage). I really like the look of the Bamboo and the front Bungee cord. Pros -Nice looking -Light Weight -Durable -Very Affordable Cons -Not as smooth as other SUP's I have tried -Only 31" wide. I prefer a wider board Usage Touring in calm lake water

I originally bought the cbc for my son . After seeing and hearing how much fun it was i had to try it . The board handles very well in both smooth water as well as small to medium surf and thats great for the surf we get here in northeast florida. Pros Its versatile Cons None Usage Surfing exercise touring
