The kayak is extremely stable, in fact I have sat on the side of the boat with both legs in the water going down the river and had no problem with it staying flat. My friends and I affectionately call it the barge. I have lower extremity mobility problems and purchased this for the stability and the ability to easily get in and out. The removable seat is extremely comfortable and supports you back. It has a small dry compartment mid boat. I kept my keys and cellphone in it and never had problems with water getting in there. There is plenty of room for a small cooler and I even took my mid size dog on trips and she slept at my feet. It is extremely well made.
My only issue is it is cumbersome and heavy, but hopefully you don't have it out of the water very long! I was able able to lift it up on my cross over vehicle independently. Another draw back which I believe would be with any sit on top is the ride is a little wetter. It doesn't take much for water to come over the side and you have a wet seat. That does make you think twice about taking it out in cooler weather.

My husband has the Ascend FS12T and I really wish I had spent the extra $100. While his is very stable and still paddles very well, the D10T is like paddling a brick - unless you are going with the current. Also, my husband can easily stay in one place with his while the 10' is getting pushed all over. It does not track well either and as soon as you stop paddling you stop moving.
As another person stated the seat isn't that great. While it is fairly comfortable it does not stay in place at all. We replaced that after only 2 weeks. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep this for fishing and just get a second one for paddling days or replace it altogether.

The positive, well the price for one. Fairly lightweight for something so stable though unwieldy trying to put on my truck rack alone but it's doable. Small enough to easily store just about anywhere. Basically, if you realize this kayak's limitations (short trips in creeks or stillwater that don't require a lot of paddling) and they fit your needs it's a great deal. But if you get one thinking you're going to paddle several miles in out in the ocean or a multi-day camp/fish trip your gonna be posting an add on Craigslist pretty fast.

Overall a great kayak for the price and I am satisfied with the purchase.

I would recommend this kayak for anyone that is looking for a nice kayak to do some fishing in or to just paddle around in. I would suggest a kayak dolly or something to help you carry it. It's not super heavy but it is about 50-60 pounds and is awkward to carry by yourself. I will most likely get another one for my wife.
