I absolutely love this little kayak. A friend of mine got it decades ago and gave it to me. It is a very simplistic kayak (no cupholders or bungee cords or storage nooks) which has withstood the test of time and is very stable. I guess the only thing I would have to complain about would be the hard plastic seat back which really digs into your spine but nothing a folded towel or PFD cusion can't fix.
I picked up this recreational kayak used from Craigslist for $150 and it is better built than similarly sized kayaks of today. The 10' 6" boat does not have hatches but because of its width does have significant storage capacity as I put a camp chairs on the sides of the seat when I took it on a weekend camping trip. It is fairly fast for its size (and width), and has two water channels in the hull to help keep you going straight, kept up with my friends 12' pretty well. Used on slow rivers (St. Croix) and lakes. When my friend stepped up to a 14' boat it became apparent I should get something longer and sleeker, but plan on keeping the Caspia for quick trips to the chain of lakes near my home.
