Trip Overview

A friend and I put in on the Withlacoochee at Nankin bridge and floated to Mozell spells. Tropical Storm Fay had just come through here the first time and river was up at least 6-8 feet from the week before.

One little known fact about this section of river is a short stretch of whitewater called by the locals (aka ME) LINE RAPIDS. In low water times it can be difficult to maneuver through the rocky shoal, but today it was riding big waves. We did this in my new Mad River Adventure 14 and it handled it without getting any water in boat. Great ride I just wish it was a longer stretch of white water.
